The short version

Dawn Patrol is a surf session journal and AI coaching app. We collect only what we need to make the app work — your session data, your account info, and your home surf spot. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We never will.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Your name and email address when you create an account
• Your surf session logs — spot, board, duration, vibe, notes, and conditions
• Your home surf spot (you choose this from a list — we do not track your GPS location)
• Your board quiver — the boards you add to your profile
• Any notes or free-text entries you add to sessions

Information collected automatically

• Basic device information (device type, operating system) for crash reporting
• App usage patterns to improve performance — no personally identifiable data
• Authentication tokens to keep you logged in securely (stored on your device)

Third parties

Who else touches your data

We work with a small number of trusted third-party services to run the app — for authentication, database storage, surf conditions, and AI coaching. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or any unauthorized third parties.

Your rights

You're in control

• You can delete any session log at any time from within the app
• You can update your profile information at any time
• You can delete your account by contacting us at the email below — we'll remove all your data within 30 days

Updates to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we'll notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
